Rockville State School provides a quality, engaging and inclusive curriculum for all students.  Our excellent staff cater to individual student interests and learning needs to ensure that every student achieves to their potential.  We are also very fortunate to have a great learning environment, including our pool and kitchen, which is utilised to engage students in real-life learning experiences.

 ​Students access a balanced curriculum by developing their knowledge and skills across eight key learning areas:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences)
  • Health and Physical Education
  • The Arts (Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, Media Arts, Music)
  • Technologies (Digital Technology and Design Technology)
  • Languages (Chinese – offered to students in Grades 5&6 through Cairns Distance Education)
     
    All learning areas are taught and assessed from the Australian Curriculum, ensuring a nationally consistent approach to our practice and standards

    Formal reporting of student progress to parents/carers is conducted throughout the year.

                            End of Term 1:  Parent/Teacher Interviews

                            End of Term 2:  Semester 1 Report Card

                            Middle Term 3:  Parent/Teacher Interviews

                            End of Term 4:  Semester 2 Report Card

     Despite these opportunities, parents and carers are always welcome to discuss their child's learning with the class teacher at any stage throughout the school year.  Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time..
