On Tuesday 12 May, the Year 5 students, our 2024 authors of 'Superhero', had the privilege of meeting the author, Sally Rippin. Sally has written over 100 books for children and young adults, many of them award-winning.

Sally read one of her Billy B Brown books to the students and she explained where her ideas come from for her stories. At the end of the author visit, Sally personally signed a Billy B Brown or Hey Jack book and gifted to each student. The students were excited to meet a 'real author' and ask many questions.
